Walking By Faith

Walking By Faith

Lord please order my steps in Your Word Help me to walk by faith and learn to observe, To always follow Your precepts In my daily steps not to misstep.

My prayer is, that I will keep my eyes on You And Your precious Word too, Lead me, guide me, each and everyday Knowing Your way is the right way.

Your Word said, “We walk by faith and not by sight.” Lord it’s not for me to understand how You move and what You do But I’m trusting and depending wholeheartedly on You To enable me to walk on this Christian path right Not trusting in other things that I see with my sight.

You’re able to move mountains that come in my life Taking me through the valleys of turmoil and strife

No one but You Lord can intercede and bring me out Of the many circumstances, situations and doubt Walking by faith, I’m leaving all up to You Is just what this Christian life is all about.

I Timothy 1:6

God Reigneth

God Omnipotent reigneth from above With Wisdom, Power and Love. He sitteth high and looketh low On His creatures here below. He sees them running to and fro And forgetting their Creator that loves them so If only they stop and what He has done for them. How He manifested His great love to them In sparing their lives, through His Son that He sent He made a way so they can repent. In giving them hope through the blood that was shed They must surrender their lives’ to Him and be led And if they will accept Him, trust and obey Jesus will show them the right way One day they will be with Him above Thanking God for His bountiful love.

Palms 99:1a

“The LORD reigneth…”

The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is our guide. To lead and teach us to abide In God’s Word and by His side. He helps us not to go astray Keeping us on the straight and narrow way, Saved us all for that great and glorious day When we shall see the Master face to face Thanking Him for His Wonderful Grace Praising Him for taking us through this Christian race.

John 16:13 “…the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth…”

Riches Untold

Put your hope and trust in God He will never let you down For He is the Savior and Deliverer, He will keep your feet on solid ground Do your best to be sincere with the Lord. Love and serve Him every day more and more The Lord will not disappoint you, as the enemy will always do Because Jesus loves you and His desire is to use you too For He wants you to reach out to others, to bring them into the fold To receive Jesus into their hearts, will give them riches untold.

Rom 9:23 “And that he might make known the riches of his glory…”

Thank Him

Do you think we thank the Lord Enough? For all the things He has done for us. I cannot speak for you but I know I haven’t thanked Him enough, For the many problems, sicknesses and disappointments, He brought me through What only the Lord alone was able to do. For His wonderful mercy and grace He has shown to me I just cannot thank Him enough, for He has set me free.

Psalm 100:4a “Enter into his gates with thanksgiving and into his courts with praise…”

Your Strength

Lord I need your strength day by day To help me as I’m traveling this Christian way. Keep me ever near you, is my earnest prayer As problems and frustration seem to bear Upon your child, that loves you so dear Remove the doubt and erase the fear Lord help me that I may abide Close to you and always by your side.

Psalm 27:1b “…the LORD is the strength of my life…”

Be Ready

Get right with God before Jesus cracks the sky For when He does you don’t have time to lie As a matter of fact you don’t have time to repent of sins that He resents.

So don’t put off today of confessing your sin For tomorrow is not promised and we don’t know When it will end.

Don’t put off and wait for another day For life’s like a vapor, it will vanish away Because salvation is for now, this very day Receive Jesus in your life for He is the Way.

2 Cor. 6:2 c “Behold, now is the accepted time;

Where Is Your Love

Set your affections on things above and not on earth Where thieves break in, take your things and cause you to lose your mirth The Lord wants you to keep your mind on Him and things above What He has in store for you is joyous unspeakable love.

There are twelve gates to the city and the streets are paved with gold Many other things to look forward to, as it was foretold There will be no more death, sickness or crying there For He will wipe away all tears.

You’ll praise Him day and night With all your heart, all your might Giving Him thanks for He is the Light That shines in darkness and make our lives bright.

The awful scars that He received in His hands and side Lets us know that He loves us whatever betide. Our goal is to keep our eyes on the prize

For one day living or dead we will arise The believers will be with Him in glory on that celestial side And the unbelievers will be sent down below where they will reside.

Rev. 21:12, 18

The Littlest Member

Lord let me stop and think before words come out of my mouth Lord let me stop and think Words can hurt and that’s without a doubt So put a watchman upon the door of my lips Before something is said And I will regret those words to slip.

The tongue is the littlest member to control It sparks fire on what is said, and how it is told About another person that hurts them to their soul It causes them to be upset and in dismay To know that a believer’s untamed tongue got loose today.

Lord let me check my words before they come out Because you know what they are all about. Help me to stop and think before I speak Keep from hurting someone with this tongue

That seems to be so weak.

James 3:8 “But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.”

Welcome Holy Spirit

Holy Spirit You are welcome in this place

For the Lord has cleansed me and moved the disgrace;

My soul and spirit are waiting your embrace

To fill me, use me and put me in the rightful place.

Where others see Your work and wants the Lord also to erase

The sins in their life which is a terrible disgrace.

They want You to abide in them and keep them apace

Of the enemies tricks of sin he tries to place,

On God’s people for he likes to make us a case

In tempting us and hoping that we will fall and be a total disgrace.

A Delusion

The Church is like an ostrich with its head buried in the sand Not facing reality of the awful situation at hand For Satan sent his angel of delusion Amongst the Church of Christ to cause confusion.

Have you noticed Churches don’t believe in demons today? Nor in deliverance for that is the only way God’s people are in a stupor They’re not being the victor.

The delusion is… the Lord doesn’t work miracles anymore. Demons can’t be cast out like when Jesus walked upon the earth and along the shore

For people are more bound than ever before

Yet God’s people really don’t believe Let them know they can be deceived But if they only fast and pray Jesus’ power will set the bound, free today We as finite people must have forgotten the way.

That “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today and forever.” “For I, the Lord, do not change.”

So Church, get your head out of the sand Get yourself free, pray, fast and stand Learn to come together in unity to band And put the enemy on the run with Jesus blood Satan won’t be able to stand.

Hebrews 13:8 “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever.”

Guide Me

Lord, order my steps in your Word Through my walk you can be seen and heard Help me Lord to walk just right And guide my feet both day and night Have me walking where there is light I know with Your leading I will be alright.

But if I falter Lord, along life’s way Lord put me back on the path to stay To walk this straight and narrow way Each and every day.

And through Your Precious Word Keep me off the path of worldly curves “The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord And He delighteth in his way.” So order my steps in Your Word That You can be seen and heard.

Psalm 37:23 “The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and He delighteth in his way.”

The Son Of God

Jesus was popular when He walked upon this earth He was conceived in an immaculate birth And as He grew and became a young lad He wandered off from His parents and they were sad.

They looked for Him, and found Him in the midst of doctors Jesus was listening to them and answering their questions All that heard Him were amazed at His understanding and answers His parents were astonished, but they were glad.

Jesus went home and was obedient unto His parents He grew in favor with God and man He learned to be a carpenter for He was not a lazy child For He loved His parents and helped them until He became a man And with His knowledge and humbleness, there wasn’t any pride For He was proficient in everything and in God He did abide.

When He became a man, He went about doing good

For He was obedient unto His Father and worked like He would He healed the sick, raised the dead, taught and preached the Word People gathered around Him to listen and experience a change unheard.

For Jesus was our example from a babe unto a man We as God’s children should trust Him and really make a stand For truly we must follow Him and do just as He did command. With His grace to help us be in favor with God, His Son and man.

Luke 2:52 “And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man.”

Part Two

Trust And Confidence

Trust And Confidence

Written For My Husband

These two words you often hear From my husband who is so dear. He loves Christ and loves to share in his life and messages he prepares.

These two words are “Trust and Confidence” That he stresses so often and so clear, Trust in the Lord with all your heart for that will draw you near Confidence in His Word will remove all fear These Words we need on our Christian journey on this sphere.

One glorious day we must all appear In our Lord’s presence up in the atmosphere. To give of those words that was stressed so clear, Jesus will know if we use them often or rare From my husband who loves the Lord so dear.

Written For My Niece

J - is for Joy that you have and share with everyone you meet at home, and church and on the street. O - is for Overflow of love the Lord gave you, which you have for others that are in need. For your heart that’s full of comion we know that you are God’s child indeed. A - is for Adoration that you have for the Lord-and you continually give Him the praise and glory that He so much adores. N - is for Nourish yourself in the Word that you may grow closer to Him each day. And when He speaks to you He will be heard - For He will guide you out of problems all the way.

She Is God’s Child

Written For My Niece

My niece Sharon is now a child of God. She loves Him so much you can see it in her smile. She surrenders herself unto the Lord and on Him she now relies To help others to grow strong in Him, not to give up whatever betide.

She prays unceasingly because she knows what He can do Open and shut doors for her because she’s one of the chosen few. She works continuously for the One she loves so much And always ready to lend a helping hand and keep in touch.

, this is God’s child who He sent His Spirit upon He loves her for the comion she has for others. The Lord is happy when He sees this attribute manifested in His children, When they are aiding the needy and helping one another For He anointed and empowered her to do His work As she is a chosen vessel willing to win souls

In this world that’s going berserk.

A Precious Jewel

Written for my niece

Sharon we are delightfully happy for you Been praying that the Lord would send you A saved man that sure enough loves the Lord and abide by His Word That will always keep God first so your lives won’t be distracted or perturbed.

Sharon we are glad that Jimmy found you You became one of God’s jewels and precious too Our God led Jimmy to the ornament He had in mind Sure enough it was you Sharon; you were there all the time. He that findeth a wife, findeth a good thing Especially one that’s saved and loves the Lord Abide in the Word and be obedient in everything.

The joy and love you each will bring into this marriage Will help tremendously to overcome problems that prevail. But with God’s inexhaustible power, He’s able to dispel.

Just trust in Him with all your heart He will never forsake you, nor depart.

If It Wasn’t For You

If it wasn’t for you Shirley I could not had gone, To the Christian Writers Conference That was planned so long.

I love you because you are a friend indeed You were the one I could count on To help me when I was in need. In saying yes to watch my sister that day When I couldn’t get anyone else any kind of way I was ready to cancel the planned and paid trip. Was glad my husband encouraged me to take hold and not flip, You came through Shirley, thank you, I moved fast and strengthened my grip. If I had not gone I would have been upset and disappointed. It was meant for me to go, for God had appointed. The vast information and fellowship I encountered, It was such a blessing.

Now I see why God made a way for me to get there It was enlightening and so refreshing.

Our Daughter Sheron

We prayed for our daughter Sheron that the Lord will send her a wonderful young man, That loves the Lord, cares and understands.

Someone that loves her for who she is For she loves the Lord and surrendered her will to His She also became obedient in her Christian walk Ready to let others know about Jesus in her talk.

She desired a Christian young man that will be faithful and true That loves the Lord the way she does too. One that will give her lots of love and respect And she in turn will do the same without neglect.

He saw in her eyes her love for him How he won her heart and they became best friends They came to know each other and were drawn closer each day Their love began to blossom and get stronger in every way.

“For he that findeth a wife findeth a good thing” One who is committed to the Lord and faithful in everything Cleveon could see that Sheron was ready to accept his ring. When he proposed to her she readily accepted with our blessing Through this engagement process We began to see Sheron less and less For she was going back and forth to the city; preparing for their wedding with eagerness Cleveon left his parents’ home preparing for her and his future bride’s nest They were looking forward to when they would be ed together and blessed. We as parents will miss them from being at home But the Word of God states they must leave their parents and cleave to each other alone We know they will make it, if they keep Christ first in their lives If problems come up, with faith and confidence in Christ they will subside. Just like their parents’ trust in Him, whatever betide Because they knew Jesus was there with them to abide We the parents, grandparents, families and friends are happy for them

And wishing all the bleson them As they begin their life as husband and wife May that union be blessed with new life.

Becoming A Bride

Becoming a bride is the most glamorous event in your life, You are beautiful and radiant on that special day when you become a wife.

People stand and take notice as you enter into the room, They are in awe on how gorgeous you look as you walk towards the groom.

With happiness like a halo surrounding you All excited, don’t know how you will get through. Your families and friends came to celebrate with you On this beautiful wedding day that is in view.

As she walks up the isle with her Dad by her side Everyone knows that this is her special day. As she looked from side to side, smiling all the way She’s happy to know that this day has finally arrived. Only then does all the preparation and anticipation

of planning a wedding subsides.

Praise God

Praise God from whom all blessings flow, Who have blessed you with a beautiful home to show Giving Him the praise for what He has done By opening the door for you to attain a home With His leading and guiding you have won.

Over every obstacle that came your way That kept you praying and believing the Lord, will have His way Praise God He heard your prayer without delay.

The home the Lord has given you may He abide In every nook and corner and always by your side Let Him reign in your home and in your heart Thank Him always for the joy and love He will impart.

Christ

C - is for “Christmas, Christ’s birthday to declare.”

H - is for “His Honor, that He deserves far and near.”

R - is for “Rejoice, for this is the time of the year.”

I - is for “His Integrity, which He loves to share.”

S - is for “Savior, for He is so dear.”

T - is for “Trust in Him, because He cares.”

Christmas Every Day

Christmas should be celebrated every day of the year For if God had not sent His Son our sins we would still bear. We would die without hope in this sinful world, From the fiery darts that the devil constantly hurls.

When you accept Jesus Christ in your life, a change takes place, You no longer want to run in that same direction and pace. For God has set before you a Christian race And the goal that He places before us, we all must face.

He that endures to the end shall receive a prize There will be a crown awaiting on the other side. Be strong in the Lord and the power of His Might, Prayerful and faithfully, both day and night.

Christmas

C - is for “CHRIST” who left all and Came.

H - is for “HALLELUJAH” in praising HIS Name.

R - is for “RIGHTEOUSNESS” that HE Proclaims.

I - is for “IMMACULATE” Birth for there was no Shame.

S - is for “SAVIOUR” who died and bore our Blame.

T - is for “THANKSGIVING” for HIS glorious Fame.

M - is for “MASTER” for HE is the Same.

A - is for “ALMIGHTY” for HE shall Reign.

S - is for “SALVATION” our souls He will Reclaim.

He Looked Beyond

God looked beyond our faults and saw our needs He saw we needed help in our thoughts, words and deeds. He sent His Son, the Only One, to do a work within To remove the shame of iniquity and sin.

God intends for us to be blameless and harmless When we stand before Him And that’s through His Son’s shed blood Which is able to wash away all sin.

So learn not to point your finger at anyone, looking at them as scum. For you were in the same predicament in sin that you would not shun.

Don’t talk about their sins that you always see, But pray for them earnestly down on your knees.

For you are no better than them when you were in sin and it displeased the Lord It was Jesus’ blood that cleansed you within And from the Enemy’s grip that had you bound in sin.

He Made A Way

He left His home in Glory

For this great redemption story.

It was a miraculous birth

That happened upon this earth.

If it wasn’t for the love of God

We all would have to die

But He made a way to forgive us of our sins

Through His Son that gives us eternal life, to abide within.

It Was God

It was God who enunciated That His people would be emancipated, From Satan that had them bound In sin, degradation, chains and prison They are found.

There was only one who could set God’s people free It was His beloved Son who had no sin, you see. He left His throne in glory to come down to deliver us all Because of His love for the world, He didn’t want us to continue to fall.

He received slaps, He was spit in the face They yanked on His beard and shredded His back with many stripes With a crown of thorns placed upon His head His blood seeping all over the place All because we ignored God’s Amazing Grace.

Jesus went through this humiliation, because of man’s disobedience and fall The separation from God that could not vison sin at all. Because of His great love for sinners, He didn’t want them destroyed. Through this great sacrifice, Jesus made our enemy disturbed and annoyed.

Our Saviour Arose

Early in the morn, arose our Savior

From the grave at the break of dawn

There was a great earthquake

As the angel rolled the stone away

For he knew it was the day

To let the Savior out

And that with a mighty shout!

Jesus was victorious, over death and the grave

It could no longer hold Him, just like He had said.

Religious leaders told a lie

And said that His disciples stole His body

Put it in another grave to hide

We as believers know of course

That this statement was false

for prophecy was told that Jesus must sacrifice His life

In order to deliver us from the misery of sin and strife.

Praise be to God for His mercy and grace

Through His Son’s shed blood, we are able to embrace.

Set Free

It was God who had proclaimed That His people would be set free From bondage of the enemy. For Satan who has them bound In sin and prison they are found.

Jesus left His home in glory To deliver us out the enemy’s territory He knew what sacrifice had to be done To give His life and shed His blood for everyone.

He received slaps, spit and pulling of His beard upon His face Stripes on His back, crown of thorns upon His head That made His blood drip all over the place For they abused and accused Him and wanted Him dead.

He was placed on the cross with nails in His hands and feet It was a horrible punishment He bore for us

He did it so our Redemption would be complete And to put our enemy in defeat.

Jesus went through this humiliation because of man’s disobedience and fall It had caused a separation from God, who could not look at sin at all Because of God’s love for sinners, He needed His Son to sacrifice His life And if we would receive Jesus Christ, He will give us everlasting life.

The Greatest Gift

It’s around this time of year The smell of fragrance in the air Of cookies, bread, candy and cake That families and friends take time to bake The buying of toys, gifts and trees We are spending above our needs Though we are expressing our love for each other By giving presents and food to one another.

Sometimes we forget Christmas is not our day It is for the Son of God that lay on the hay So how can we please the Lord on His birthday By presenting ourselves to Him without delay He gets all the Glory, for He is from above Just to know that Jesus came to manifest His love!

He came to take away our sins So the love of God can dwell within

For the Father sent Him as a Gift To remind us that all our sins He can lift.

So don’t forget the Greatest Gift That was given around this season For Jesus was presented for a reason To be the sacrifice for sin, so we can receive life and deliverance from the evil one, who causes havoc and strife.

2 Cor. 9:15 Thanks be unto God for His unspeakable (priceless) Gift.

The Love of God

For God manifested His love to us By sending His Son to die for us His Son suffered on the cross with wounds that bled In order to redeem mankind from the enemy’s stead Jesus was the only One who could sacrifice His life For He was without blemish and strife It is such a great joy to know How much God loves everyone so.

1 John 3: 1a “Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God:”

They Accused Jesus

They accused Jesus falsely; For things He had not done, They spat on Him and beat Him And thought they had won. He bore His cross to Calvary; With the help of someone, He died on the cross for sins of everyone.

They accused Jesus falsely; For things He had not done, For He raised the dead and healed the sick; Opened blinded eyes, deaf ears, cleansed lepers, and some We thank God for Jesus, His Beloved Son; For victory over death and grave, He has won!

The Risen Savior

It was early in the morn Before the break of dawn That Jesus arose from the dead And the grave clothes He shed.

For there was a great earthquake And the angel rolled the stone away The grave couldn’t hold Him any longer Because it was the third day.

The religious leaders told the soldiers to lie And said that His disciples stole His body To put it in another grave to hide We know that this statement was false For it was prophesied that Jesus would sacrifice His life on the cross.

The women came early in the morning to Jesus

With sweet spices to anoint He wasn’t there, but He did appear and to them He did appoint Jesus told the women, to go and tell His disciples that He had arose He’s no longer dead and in the grave as they supposed.

A couple of the disciples ran to the sepulcher to see if it were true When they came to the tomb it was empty For Jesus arose from the dead like He had said He would do.

Jesus, being victorious over death and the grave He went through all of this so we as sinners can be saved For He is our Risen Savior that lives today Who loves us so much that He paved the Way.

John 14:6 “Jesus saith unto him, I am the Way, the Truth, And the Life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me.”

Part Four

Miscellaneous

The Red Tailed Hawk

I kept hearing all this loud noise from the Crows in the back As I looked out in the backyard with binoculars I saw a Hawk He was white with a Red tail sitting on top of the tree The Crows didn’t like it, they wanted him to flee.

So the Crows flew around him and made a lot of noise The Hawk sat there for quite awhile and ignored them The Crows didn’t want him there where they reside They knew that Hawks eat their eggs and younglings alive.

The Crows saw that the Hawk wasn’t going He sat there very long without flinching So the Hawk got tired of the loud squawking noise The Crows swooping at him was very annoying Finally the Hawk flew off the tree limb All of the Crows flew right behind him Making sure he was out of their area with a great distance.

For the Crows have an instinct on whom their predators are We as believers don’t use ours half of the time against our foes Sometimes we can’t recognize our enemies when they are near or far We still fall for subtleness and tricks and not keeping them behind bars.

John 10:10 “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy…”

Suppose

Suppose when we get to heaven And all the people from different races Asians, Whites, Blacks standing in place find out that God is Black. Can you imagine the prejudice ones will quickly step back And how they treated people of a different race For they think they should be the only ones up there in that place.

I can picture many of them requesting, God! I would like to go below For I can’t deal with you God, for you’re Black you know. We have to understand that God created people of different races For if all was one color, the world would be a monotonous place.

In the Word it’s written “If a man said ‘I love God’, and hateth his brother, he is a liar and a murderer, he will not have eternal life” Don’t be a foolish person and miss out because of hatred and strife Because a brother or sister that’s from a different race You may be the one who will miss out from that heavenly place.

It doesn’t matter what color God is — He can be any color to any race or to one another What does matter is that you are born again and have love for each other, Jesus loved and died for all mankind It’s up to us to love one another, serve Him and learn to be kind. I John 3:15; 4:20

As I picked up the Window Art it caught my attention It was a picture of a Lighthouse, Sun and Dove This art reminds me of Jesus as the Lighthouse He shows us His wonderful and marvelous Love.

For the ones who are lost on the sea of sin He’s waiting for sinners’ response to His Light and to come in His Light shining so bright you can see it far or near For He is the Light of the world and waiting right there To rescue you from guilt, shame and all kinds of fear.

In this Art there was the Sun beaming with rays of light And it was shining so beautifully and bright This also reminds me of Jesus, He shines through darkness and dispels the night He reaches out to calm and soothe you and make things right.

The Dove in the Art was flying towards the Lighthouse

In God’s Word the Dove represents the Holy Spirit God sent the Holy Spirit down in the form of a Dove And rested on Jesus’ shoulder as He was being baptized With His Father’s love.

Then there was a gorgeous blue Sky in this Window Art Which reminds me of Heaven, how wonderful it’s going to be Once you are saved and delivered from sin and set free You’ll forever rejoice in His presence with praise and jubilee.

John 8:12…“Jesus said…I am the Light of the world…”

God’s Creation

God’s Creation

The planet world God made in splendor; More spectacular than the Seven Wonders here on earth Nothing can compare to this planet world All its beauty and all it’s worth.

The endless azure skies and magnificent clouds The beautiful clear blue waters God created for the inhabitants upon this earth All of this is just what He orders.

Different hues of flowers, grasses, hills, lofty mountains and various sizes of trees He made for us to enjoy their beauty — as we live upon this land and sea.

Gorgeous birds of all colors and sizes Makes you pause to thank God — For all the beauty that He created

That our eyes behold and realizes —

There is no one to compare to our God The animals God created are beautiful and unique in every way Adam was given the privilege to name them as he may Can you imagine him touching them and giving them names that day.

Oh, God’s magnificent Creation, what a wonderful display. Some people are perplexed and wonder if there’s a God Just look at yourself, the animals and nature we are wonderfully made, you don’t have to inquire For it was God who ordained it, for He was inspired.

God, His Son and the Holy Spirit worked together and mandated From dust of the earth and rib from the man God brought forth a woman We are complex beings that only a True and Living God could have created.

For God created man to have fellowship with so man can walk by His side Man became disobedient and just couldn’t abide

As individuals we must learn to take heed Receive the Creation of God, and leave it be Just accept God’s Word and only believe Live this life on earth as God intended for man and his seed.

Psalms 24:1 “The earth is the Lord’s, and the fullness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.”

Can’t Compare

The beauty of God’s Creation above the atmosphere Looking at the gorgeous clouds so white and fair The wonders of His Creation there’s none that compare For we know He’s the only One Who can make the wonders appear.

It’s so good to know Him and about His Creation plan To know that He’s in control of everything He creates including man I see His marvelous work up in the sky From an airplane window flying so high.

The lovely clouds look like mountains, they also look like snow Seems like you can fall on them and float down to earth below The beautiful clouds are in different shapes, so white and clean God is so awesome, He performs miracles and wonders beyond our wildest dreams.

He is Omnipotent for all Power is in His hand That’s why He created the universe for creature man.

The Rain

I hear the pitter-patter of raindrops hitting my window pane, as it continues down the drain Rain is so refreshing, it’s God’s cleansing agent for germs on this plain.

He gives water for birds and animals He gives water for insects and mammals He gives water for grass and flowers He gives water for people to drink and shower.

The water is sent for the sea, rivers and creeks For fishes and things that creep.

Children love to walk in the rain They play and jump in puddles, it’s their game They don’t mind if their clothes and shoes get wet They enjoy themselves just the same without regret.

After the rain, the air smells clean and refreshing Don’t you realize that God sent one of His blessings By replenishing the earth with water from above This is one way, God shows us His great love.

The Airplane

The knowledge God gave to man Yet they still don’t understand He gave them wisdom and knowledge to build airplanes We take it so lightly like God wasn’t in the plan But it was planned a long time ago through His wisdom to man.

Times and years ed, knowledge was received and tried Man was determined to put it together and fly They wanted to build airplanes that would soar up in the sky Way above the clouds in the hemisphere so high.

They learn to fly from north and south to east and west You can lay back, close your eyes and rest. For man learned how to use that instrument extremely well Through their wisdom, knowledge and confidence they did prevail.

The airplane as it flies, seems like it’s not moving or going anywhere When you look again before you know you are there

To the destination you planned and prepared For the speed of the airplanes you can’t compare.

For it doesn’t take long to travel by airplane It’s much faster then traveling by car, bus or train For the wisdom and knowledge man received was preordained.

Where Is Justice

Where is Justice in this land Seems like it’s a mockery and a sham People do just what they want and can Hurting and killing each other and destroying the land.

What is wrong with man? For they are ignoring the laws of this land They go before the judge and jury the lawyer argues of their innocence The majority are guilty and set free and it doesn’t make sense.

They get over by their plea and set free Get out, do the same thing and don’t take heed.

But there’s a Righteous Judge and Lawyer That will judge righteously and will keep law and order For this Lawyer will see that no man will be set free that’s guilty

Of lying, sin and being filthy.

No liars, murderers, rapist, thieves, and ab of mankind Won’t get off no way, for The Judge knows their minds

For they will be sentenced by the Judge and Lawyer No release will be in their order Unless the blood has been applied to their lives To cleanse them from sin on the inside.

They can’t fool the Judge and Lawyer Because He is God along with His Son And they are the only Righteous One That will judge righteously with everyone.

Psa. 67:4 b “For thou shalt judge the people righteously, and govern the nations upon earth”.

The Floating Dust

Have you encountered the floating dust, that floats around the room Makes you want to hide and cover your head Underneath the sheets on your bed.

House stays so dusty, don’t know what to do Because dust floats everyday on furniture, and on you Seems like the dust don’t take a break, well actually they do On dreary and rainy days when the sun don’t shine through.

You see the dust so clearly when the sun is shining bright Through windows and doors and on a beam of sunlight.

It reminds me of aliens from outer space As it floats towards you and all over the place It gives an eerie feeling like it’s coming after you Then realizing it’s just dust, what harm can it do.

The floating dust comes from linen, clothes and covers

It amazes me that no one has yet to discover How to keep those dust aliens from landing all over the place And find a way to make them stay there in outer space It would be the greatest discovery on this earth How to rid dust aliens from intruding on our berth.

Leaves On The Snow

I was looking out my window on a snowy day The snow stopped falling early that morn Then the wind began to blow hard in every way Taking the falling leaves across the yard and lawn.

Have you ever noticed leaves on the snow How they scurry about when the wind blows Some leaves look like they are skating to and fro Especially when the wind moves them across the snow.

As the wind calms down and blows just slightly It looks like the leaves are walking across the snow lightly But as the wind begin to stirs up again and blows It has the leaves running and skipping across the snow.

They look like little people running And frisky lost pups jumping With the wind tossing them about so fast

It’s hard to keep up with them Before you know it they’ve gone past.

Some leaves wind up in holes, gullies and in between trees These are not blown anymore for they are free From the strong wind that had them going at high speed.

Then there are leaves going in various directions trying to reach their destiny I imagine some would like to refuse, but when the wind blows there’s no mutiny.

For the wind is so strong and bold It will do as it is told From the Sovereign God who makes the wind And has it under His control.

Part Six

Children Are A Heritage

Children Are A Heritage

Children are a heritage that the Lord has given us. You are to train them up in the Word, so they can learn to trust To put their faith in God, for in Him they must.

If we fail to train them the way the Lord requires us to You surely will regret it, for they will bring shame on you.

So if they are given to us for a heritage Do as the Word of God says — Be obedient parents and train them right And when they grow up, they will be a delight.

For you let them know all foolishness of this world is sin It will cast them down and destroy them without and within. So do your job as parents, in bringing your children up right With lots of love and training, so they will see Jesus, for He is their Light.

Psa. 127:3

“Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.”

Stay Young

Young people stay young as long as you can. Don’t be in a hurry to grow up as a woman or man For being young is just for a short span Enjoy your young life and thank God that you can.

We encounter young people as the older clan Making a statement “I can’t wait until I’m an older man, So I can do just what and when I can.” Don’t be foolish in rushing your span Stay in school and learn much as you can.

When you are finished you will appreciate The knowledge in that short span And if you receive Christ in your life early as you can With God’s help you will become that woman or man.

Attitude

Some young people walk around with an attitude You can tell by the expression on their faces For they don’t listen and are very rude God is not pleased with these attitudes You won’t get far in life in that mood Why don’t you surrender your attitude And by all means receive Christ’s Beatitudes.

Matthew 5:1-12 “Happy are they which do hunger and thirst after righteous for they shall be filled.”

Get Real

Young people, the Bible said “Believe on the LORD JESUS CHRIST and thou shalt be saved.” That means to confess your sins So JESUS can cleanse your heart and abide within. Don’t hesitate and play around You don’t know when you will fall down. Without CHRIST you are not on solid ground Call on Him while He is near Just confess your sins and He will hear You can rest assure He will answer your prayer.

Acts 16:31

Be Smart

Young person if you are smart

You can enjoy life from the start.

If you accept Christ in your heart

Grow strong in Him and never depart.

There’s No Reason

Young person there’s no reason to be sad If you know Jesus He’ll make you glad Just receive Him in your heart and make the devil mad For he will lose a soul that he thought he had.

Lord You Know

Lord You know my problems

And You know my needs

Only You can deliver, and set me free.

I want my mind to take heed

of Your wonderful love for me.

But I’m so arrogant with no respect

Of You, Your Word I totally neglect

Because sin has me bound within

For my outlook of life seems so dim.

I want to enjoy life while I am young

To me, the Gospel is for the old and not the young

I know that this is the wrong concept

Yet this is one of the excuses for living wrong that I accept.

I know if I yield my life completely to You

You are able to cleanse me and make me brand new

For You are God, my Creator Who will see me through.

Without You my life, I will be miserable with no hope in view.

Lord please forgive me for how I treated You

By attending Church and ignoring Your Word that is true

That is preached and taught so clear.

There’s no excuse that I could not hear

To ask You to forgive me of my sins that I bear.

To You Lord I now surrender myself and will,

Help me to be obedient in my mind and heart.

Make me, shape me according to Your Will

Fill me with Your Holy Spirit so I’ll never depart

To live for You, Whom my soul has longed for from the start.

Smile

Smile Young Person, it’s not all that bad Head hanging down, looking all sad The expression on your face like you are mad Come on now, snap out of it! Get to know Jesus Christ He will put a smile on your face and make you glad.

My Child

Lord where is my wandering child tonight He refuses to live and do right His eyes are open with no insight For he doesn’t want to be obedient To Jesus Who is the Light.

He’s in different cities and on the street Trying to find himself in whomever he meets Blinded to the fact that wrong persons are out there too Waiting to lure him and use him as a tool.

Lord help him come to his senses, that he will see The tricks of Satan, for he is out there waiting with glee To keep him out there to wander, follow others and do wrong Being of the world you become weak and not strong For our child is out there searching for love And failed to see and realize that “God is love”.

He was taught the Word of God; this he did not heed For we know the Word deals with all our needs There is no excuse for him being out there Where trouble and problems are prevalent everywhere.

So if he stops, look, listen and think within himself That Jesus loves him in spite of his sin and distrust For his hope has to be in God, for this is a must Let him see that You been waiting with outstretched arms To love, protect and to keep him from all evil and harm.

The Two Get Over Twins

Have you seen two people that are just alike Always trying to get over on people and Think that it’s alright They weren’t born on the same day And are a year apart But they think just alike in their heart.

Get all you can from people you know and don’t know For it’s what I want you know What’s the difference, for I don’t care It’s their attitude it seems to appear.

But they forget time will come That they can’t get over on people as they have done For the people will realize just how they are And they will stay away from them just as far.

The get-overs will see what they do in trying

to get-over on people such as me and you It will come back on them from someone who Will do them the same as they did unto you.

A Home

There are four that are in this home A home that runs on caring A home that everyone should help in sharing In keeping it clean and sparing And our hearts from despairing.

Don’t Do It

Don’t throw your clothes on this floor and leave them here Won’t lift your hands to do your chores so it won’t be there Keep your clothes in your room with the nasty bugs and ugly baboon until you decide to wash them you goon! And that you would do it soon If not just leave them in your room.

Want To Be A Guest

You think you are a guest You eat here and lay your head to rest Don’t clean up your mess You choose this home to nest So learn to keep it clean at your best For you are not a guest.

God’s Special People

Have you ever come in with God’s Special People? Have you ever been in their presence? I know you have. I know you have noticed that they don’t look, act or talk like you.

You can learn a good lesson from them, for they are a great blessing to be around, they know how to smile and speak and they have a pleasant disposition and a great attitude (which is love).

You look as mean as you usually do and won’t open your mouth and say, “How are you?” You are rude! But these “Special People” know just what to say and do, for God gave them a special blessing of a good nature and a wonderful attitude (which is love). We need to take it all in and learn this lesson too, so we in return can be a blessing in what we say or do.

But I noticed and I’m sure you have too; that God’s “Special People” sometimes are treated badly with an act of meanness towards them, and it’s not a few. Some children make fun of them, hit them and think it’s funny; but it is crude. They’re treated like they are abnormal, but they have more sense than the ones that are supposed to be normal and that is so true.

They can’t help themselves on how they look, act, talk and walk. Some of their conditions comes from medical problems, doctor’s mistakes, the mother is too young or without proper nutrition. God made them just like He made you. We are no better than they are in God’s sight. He doesn’t care how you look and what you do, for He looks at your heart and sees some terrible attitudes.

Some adults can be mean and don’t know how to treat these “Special People” right. Their reactions towards them are nasty and want them out of their sight. Some have their noses stuck up in the air. They look at them like they are weird. Some treat them mean and tell them to sit down or go somewhere, like they are not wanted around. But we must we have to answer to God for what was said and done towards His “Special Ones”; and in what they have to bear.

Can you imagine that God sees and hears how you treat His “Special People” down here? He’s not pleased in what you’ve said or done. He’s looking for you to be a Christian, sincere, loving and true.

Sometimes these “Special People” learn bad habits from people like you. God overlooks this for He knows it’s not them, these bad habits come from you. Don’t expect them to know better in what they say or do. Shame on you, for you will answer to God on how you were a poor example to His “Special People” that relies on you. Others that are handicap and don’t know who to turn to.

Some of these “Special People” know how to raise their hands, thank God and give Him the praise. The ones that are supposed to be normal stay in their seats and won’t even lift up their hands to give the Lord any praise! Where is the normal people’s gratitude?

Tell me, have you learned a lesson from God’s “Special People” that you take so lightly? Have you learned about their condition and situation? Why don’t you just try to picture yourself in their place and imagine how others would treat you? How would you like to be treated if you were in their shoes?

Our prayer should be, “Lord help me to be mindful, loving, kind and

understanding of others that are not as fortunate as I am. Help me to treat them right and to help them as much as I can. For I have to stand before You one day. I don’t want to be looked at in a discussing way. Nor do I want to be pushed aside from Your presence on that blessed day. I don’t want to be forced away; to show me now how it feels to be mistreated that way. These are “God’s Special People” that He loves as well as He loves you and me.

Part Seven

A Listening Ear

A Listening Ear

All I need right now is a listening ear, To pour out my frustration that seems so hard to bear A person that’s comionate with an understanding heart For the hurt I feel can’t seem to depart. Someone to encourage me not to give up To hold on a little longer Until the Holy Spirit makes me stronger.

This person will know what I’m going through Because they’ve been there They’ve also found someone who’s had a listening ear; That took time to hear.

The encouragement will bring me out of this a little stronger The enemy will know he can’t bind me any longer For I will the test that was put upon me My heart will be mended from the hurt indeed, I must keep my head up high my eyes on the prize

And let the devil know I will not compromise.

Psalm 62:8

Get Untangled

Don’t be tangled up in sin, That’s the enemies’ plan to bind you within. The sins and pleasing yourself and him His chains become tighter; his grip on you gets deeper Yet in yourself you refuse to accept the Keeper. When the enemy is finished you will be a weeper.

“What does it profit a man to gain the whole world and lose his soul”… For all the pleasure of sins in this world that you are enjoying It’s just for a moment, then the time will come when you won’t be soaring. For he will drag you down to the ground He wants to keep you chained and bound.

When you become fed up with the pleasures of sin, that you want to end. The enemy won’t be pleased, because he’ll be losing a friend Do you want to be delivered from the things that have you bound within? Call on Jesus for He is able to deliver and free you from all sin So get untangled with the affairs of the Devil

For the blood of Jesus can free you from the evil one, for he is subtle.

Psa. 121:5 (Keeper) Matt. 16:26 (Lose) 2 Tim. 2:4 (Entangled)

Soul, Don’t Be Cast Down

O my soul, what’s wrong with you? You look so down and you feel so blue Don’t you know that God loves you? No matter what man say or do Though fiery darts was thrown at you too.

You need not worry, for God sees your wounds they are not few You are just as important as John or Sue.

God really loves you And He’s concern about you too He’s not going to let the enemy trample all over you.

Keep looking unto Him, and your soul will win over wounds, hurt and the guilt of sin For the Lord is the Lover of your soul He’s concerned about you and the things that were done and told

For He is the Balm of Gilead, and He makes the wounded whole With His Mercy and Grace - He is in control.

Psalm 42:5 “Why art thou cast down, O my soul? Why art thou Disquieted in me? Hope thou in God.”

Don’t Give Up

Are you content in what you are doing for the Lord? Or are you dissatisfied, for you know you can do more? Don’t get a chance or opportunity, so others can know what you can do, You have talents waiting to be used And when you can’t, it makes you feel blue Folks become upset in knowing that the Lord can use you too.

Don’t give up, don’t feel blue — Keep praising the Lord, He will see you through. Dedicate yourself to Him, be filled with the Spirit and be humble too, The Lord will give you the victory so you can really shine through.

People will notice that the Lord is on your side, Using the talents He gave you so that you can no longer hide. When that day comes, to thank God He gave you the victory whatever betide.

His servant who loves Him has won, because God will override —

The obstacles, problems and hindrances like a landslide.

-ThoughtKeep looking up don’t look down - for if you do, you will be leveled to the ground. (In other words, don’t fall flat on your face because you decided to give up.)

What Must I Do

Some people think they have spiritually arrived But deep down inside, they don’t have that drive. For they easily get upset at the least little thing And ready to throw up their hands, forget everything, You can see by their expression and terrible attitude They can’t forgive and forget and they stay in an awful mood.

They need to go back to God and inquire “What Must I Do?” He surely will tell them to fast and pray And do as the Word says. Put on the whole armor, learn how to stand and stay Above all, put on love which is the bond of perfectness in every way.

For the enemy’s job is to trick you by the daily darts he throws your way, If you have an attitude and are moody he’s already got you today But if you keep the shield of faith up, the darts will over you, come what may.

God is able to make you a conqueror over every obstacle, test and problem that comes your way. But you have to surrender yourself completely to Him each and every day. This is part of spiritually arriving and being in a place with the Lord. And that is to listen to His Word and obey, Because problems will always come your way.

You can always be a victor if you keep your eyes on the Lord He will make a way out of no way, He is God, do you need anything more? He is able to move out all bad attitudes That keeps you in such an ugly mood.

Call On Him

Call on the Lord while He is near, He’s right there to answer your prayer. If you are sincere He will hear And will send help and deliver you out of the snares. For upon Him you must cast all your cares Leave them there at the cross and believe without fear The enemy has no power over Christ and sincere prayers.

2 Tim. 2:26

Surrender

it that you are a sinner and confess your sins And Jesus Christ will cleanse you and abide within.

Submit yourself unto the Lord He will lead you in the right direction for sure, He will not let you go astray For He will guide you all the way.

Commit your will and self-unto Him You will see what He wants you to do. Be a soul winner so others will come to Know Him and see that He is true.

When you do these things you will be joyous and happy with His peace abiding You will have this assurance that Jesus is in you residing.

James 4:7

You can Make A Difference

You can make a difference in this world today By letting your Light shine so others will know the way.

You can make a difference in this world today By showing your love to others so they will see it’s the right way.

You can make a difference in this world today By leading others to Christ for He is the Way.

You can make a difference in this world today By praying for sinners that they will find the Way.

You can make a difference in this world today By extending your hands to the poor and helping them along in life’s way.

You can make a difference in this world today By visiting the sick and shut-in and cheering them along their way.

You can make a difference in this world today By being example of a believer in every way By showing your love to everyone as you travel this Christian journey all the way.

John 14:6

The People Of Color

We went to a pancake breakfast at a church one Saturday My sister and I were the only two out of all the people there We looked out of place, but we didn’t care For the pancake breakfast was for a worthy cause to raise money for charity; that day.

The people looked at us and didn’t said a word A man came over took our coats and we sat down to be served We were given three thick pancakes, two fat sausages, coffee and juice The breakfast was delicious and so filling - after that we were of no use.

Meanwhile at this same table a couple came in and sat down too This is when we found out who “The People of Color” were To us it was something new. For this man was conversing with us about various activities there at the church. Then he mentioned “The People of Color” don’t attend here

No wonder they looked at us so weird For surely we weren’t welcomed there.

He did say that they had a “Woman of Color” as a Superintendent of Sunday School here What we gathered was there was none of us in attendance there.

We knew that the two of us at the breakfast were “The People of Color” We weren’t invited back to Sunday Morning Services, Or ask to return for a visit As a believer and follower of Jesus Christ we felt like we were prohibited.

Then this young man mentioned to us there was a church The same denomination in another perch where “People of Color” attend “You would be around your own and find a friend”. I gathered it was a hint so we wouldn’t feel out of place For we will be around “colored people” of our own race.

I’m so glad our Heavenly Father doesn’t think like man For if He did certain colors wouldn’t be able to stand In His presence as we reach that promised land.

James 2:1

No Conscience

When you commit iniquity and sin daily the Lord sees that there aren’t few, You ignore Him through His Word and the people He sends to you.

You go to Church and ask for prayer When your mind is on some sin and you don’t even hear You’re not ready to surrender to the Lord Because the sin you are engrossed in lures you to do more.

So you continue on in iniquity and sin Thinking you are getting over on Him, Young ladies, young men the things you do will show up and tell on you.

Women, ladies and girls are so caught up in this world Their mind is on themselves

on how to satisfy their lust The things you do with these men Will be reveal and show up in the end.

Some come up with babies that they can’t afford Some wind up with diseases and looking for more Seem like the experiences they went through before Would open up their eyes and say “no more!” But their consciences they totally ignore For that sin for a moment they thought it was a joy.

The Word says “Be sure your sins will find you out.” For surety you know that’s without a doubt. You can’t hide from God and neither from people too long Because your inner man is crying out telling you it’s wrong.

So let your conscience be your guide and Do what’s right in God’s eyes. Try to keep His Word in your heart so you won’t slide Into iniquity and sin where the devil wants you to abide.

Titus 1:15 “Unto the pure all things are pure: But unto them that are defiled and Unbelieving is nothing pure; but even Their mind and conscience is defiled.”

Men Get Up

Men get up from there and take your place You have become a total disgrace. For God didn’t make you the helpmate Don’t say “Time has changed” and “That’s out of date”.

You step back and let the helpmate do your job You are either sitting, standing on the corner Acting like a bunch of knobs Won’t take your rightful place and do your job.

Did you forget God made you the head But you allowed the woman to be in charge instead, You should be ashamed and embarrassed too Because you don’t want to accept responsibility that’s placed on you.

Don’t you know you are going against God’s plan? In what He commanded for man. In being the head over the woman

And you refuse to take your rightful place and stand So the women are taking your place And that is a disgrace.

Where are the fathers, husbands and sons? They impregnate females and babies are born into this world. And now they are on the run For they are shirking their responsibility And don’t even want to take care of one.

Men get up and be that man. Take your rightful place and learn to stand Be obedient to God as He made you the head. Once saved be a dependable and responsible man For you were made the head.

Crowd Pleaser

Oh, which one loves to be a Crowd Pleaser? Loves to be seen and be heard. Follows the crowd, because you don’t Want to be called a nerd.

You shake your booty and play your rock Kiss all the boys and think you are hot In knowing this you must had forgotten For the Word of God said you must not.

Going against what you were taught from the Word Stopped up your ears and ignored what you heard. Don’t care about God, so you couldn’t observe Doing your thing because you have lots of nerve.

Judas, he was a Crowd Pleaser For he betrayed Jesus with a kiss. He wasn’t happy afterwards for what he did

The crowd he followed just left him amiss.

Jesus, His disciples and the crowd gone He felt so ashamed and all alone. Judas was an example of a Crowd Pleaser He really didn’t love the Lord Jesus like he should.

What about you? Do you love the Lord, or do you love the crowd more?

the crowd will leave you like you don’t exist But the Lord is faithful, He will not leave you amiss. Accept Him into your life and He will see you through He will lead and guide you and tell you what to do.

Judas missed out on God’s blessing Following a crowd he learned a lesson. For he missed entering into the heavenly gate He regretted, but it was too late.

Don’t miss out like Judas did,

Didn’t love the Lord enough so he slid Into total darkness of eternity With Satan, his angels with their evil calamity. The question is, “Who do you want to please?” God with all His Deity, or Satan and his depravity.

Watch Therefore

Matt. 24:42

Watch therefore, you know not the hour the Son will come He will come as a thief in the night, Seeking those who are living right Righteousness, godliness and holiness.

It’s what He’s looking for To take home forever more Will you be ready when He comes, To see our Lord on the other shore?

He’s not willing that any should perish, So all should repent Don’t delay, accept Him today. For as many as receive Him will become the sons of God Don’t hesitate, because the day will go by Tomorrow is not promised to you, me or anyone

Will you get saved before it’s done?

Young Man

You get so high smoking your weed We don’t see you for awhile You think God is pleased Your money and job all gone to the side.

You show up stinking and looking like a jack And think all is well because you are back You went on a binge And you unravel like a fringe The devil tricks you every time He knows what’s on your mind.

You fell for it and you are sick All because you want to be slick.

You lost your dignity, job and money Do you think it was funny? For a lousy old fix

For days that lasts up to six.

But when you came off of it You felt like a dummy Found it wasn’t worth it No it’s not even funny.

You didn’t want to it Deliverance is what you need From habits and sin And evil spirits with greed.

You need to get on your knees pray and plead For God’s mercy, grace and cleansing indeed.

So don’t play with God He is not a toy This was taught to you as a boy.

Wake up and get delivered For time is running out,

Tomorrow is not promised to you Truly that’s without a doubt.

James 4:14 “Whereas you know not what shall be on tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away”.
