Labeling Energy Efficiency The labeling of energy efficiency is part of a European program for climate change that focuses on energy savings as a method to reduce CO2 emissions and therefore to comply with the agreements of the Kyoto Protocol. With this program, the European Commission hopes that increased awareness will make customers buy the product more economical (and ecological) that meets your needs.
What is it? The energy efficiency label provides information about energy consumption of the unit. Air conditioning units (with a cooling capacity of 12Kw) are classified into seven different categories (from A to G), according to their energy consumption, and are encoded with different colors, depending on the category they belong to. The units that consume less energy are included in category A, which is indicated by green arrow on the label, while those who consume more units belonging to the G class, indicated with a red arrow on the label. In this way, the end can compare the models with similar units from different brands.
When? The label is required since the end of June 2004 for devices with power not exceeding 12.0 kW refrigeration.
What does it say on the label? The logo and name of the manufacturer and the name of the external or internal (for applications in multiple assemblies, Daikin prefer to mention only 1 outdoor unit with up to 2 indoor units (wall).

Power Cooling Indication of the annual energy consumption This figure indicates the approximate amount of energy the unit consumes in a year, based on a standard for household application. The annual consumption is calculated by multiplying the total power consumed by an average of 500 hours for one year in cooling mode and full load. To estimate the total cost of energy consumption for one year, simply multiply this amount by the rate of electricity.
