Daikin In of promotion through ment, the promotion strategy adopted by Daikin is mainly by placing outdoor billboards along highways and busy streets as well as organizing campaign to promote their products. In 20 May 2008, Daikin had launched a Hakuhodo-created brand campaign, called 'Everywhere With You', which run for three months across various media. The campaign runs in print, TVCs, outdoor billboards, and taxis across Singapore while the objective was to reinforce Daikin's brand in Singapore for both commercial and residential needs. The ads feature Daikin's global mascot, Pichon Kun. The campaign aimed to reach out to the consumers at large, as to create a campaign that would engage them and inform them that Daikin is always around them. (Staff Writer, 2008) In 15 June 2011, there was an outdoor advertising billboard campaign organized by Daikin. This kind of advertising offers 24/7 constant display and repeated exposure. Daikin also adopts television and radio advertising which is communicated in Malay, Chinese and English to suit the different races in Malaysia. #6 Pichon-kun

Daikin is a leading manufacturer of air conditioners and air purifiers in Japan. Their mascot Pichonkun is a tiny drop of water with a small body. His name comes from the sound of a water drop falling. Because he has a big and heavy head, he tends to hunch over. Apparently the mascot embodies the Daikin’s philosophy of best of nature; fresh and eco-friendly. Globally, Pichon-kun uses the tagline: “With Love from Japan”. Daikin also created a Robo Pichon-kun and toured across Japan. The show includes

a live demonstration of the robot, as well as a costume play with a cast of cute Pichon-kun characters.

What is the meaning of the company logo? A2 The triangle shape represents the integration of three technological areas (mechanics, chemistry and electronics) while the upper left direction of the triangle symbolizes Daikin's innovative sprit that aspires toward the future. The two blue colors (corporate colors) used in the corporate logo and the triangle design element befit Daikin's emphasis on intellect and brightness. Black expresses strength, a sense of positive presence, and stability.
