SIBLINGS INCLUDED TWO SISTERS AND BROTHERS. DHIRUBHAI WAS THE SECOND SON. • HIGHLY INTELLIGENT, DISLIKED SCHOOL LESSONS AND CHOSE TO DO PHYSICAL WORK INSTEAD. COULD NOT PURSUE A BACHELOR'S DEGREE DUE TO FAMILY PROBLEMS. • MARRIED TO KOKILABEN IN 1954. • ED AWAY ON 06 JULY 2002.
