Tried playing Monster Hunter xx, super slow, audio is very choppy, the Citra program can't even run normal 3ds roms without having to be decrypted which is a pan in the

Well it highly depends on how powerfull your system is. I can play those games just fine on my old lappy but framerates are like 20-30 fps. but there are people able to run games at nearly 50 fps and sometimes 60.

Yea... no. Citra has something seriously wrong with it. I'm using my PC and am getting 35fps average at native 3DS resolution, and if I turn it up to 4000 x 2400 I get 40fps average.

Another year???3 3DS IS OUT FOR 6 YEARS and they still couldn't emulate it.And the worst thing is there is hundreds upon hundreds of roms but no emulator to run them. Why are these people making rom that we can't even use? 52 △

Hey, here's a good idea. Why don't you make an emulator if it's that easy? The 3DS has been out for 6 years and what have you done? Nothing, that's what. Maybe *you* should get *your* s*** together. Hacking and installing CFW on the 3DS has been around since almost the first year of its release, these roms were originally exported for the use of installing on hacked consoles, NOT for the sole use of running in emulators. I've just finished installing CFW to my O3DS and getting the roms to run on them isn't as simple as drag and drop. All of the games are protected by a DRM that uses each individual consoles' hardware id's to validate the game's installation. Put simply: official consoles have hardware id's, emulators will not; therefor, the games will not run straight out of the zip file. You have to tinker with them. The geniuses over at citra are working tirelessly to make a universal emulator that can run roms without having to generate hardware approved installation files, thus making it easy for the everyday to play. see more

Wow what a genius, there have been 6 betas of trial emulators, from Belzebub programs up to this Citra, where FOR YOUR DUMBASS INFORMATION they have seized the backsources of the original emulator, and probably will not fully announce it at all, since new versions are coming on. From Deszers laws, there are always possible to encrypt the system background checks, but of course it takes time. I have bought over 8 Nintendo games, and was a loyal owner of Nintendo 2DS for 6 years. Citra is not the pilot of making these as the first original crackers came from insource 3DS brakes. Inside stoppage of networking of 3DS causes network problems, so your ID might be closed etc. etc.We should be happy with current programs to run on these, and yes, from my point, you can crack the 3DS manually of inside, but you will take a huge risk.

Wow bro, ever thought about why the ps3 doesn't have an emulator even though it's been out for 10 years? Answer is simple, a group of developers have to figure out how the system interprets the game files without any hints. If it's so easy to make things, here's a suggestion. Make a living and buy a 3ds.... 4△

that's why cemu takes closed-source route. clearly there are roaps and goals. cemu devs deserve patreon ers since they take the development seriously. for citra idk. stopped following their github after many builds, linux and windows, different hardware config gave no difference at all. been following for months until i decided to stop 3△

The 3DS is the hardest console to make an emulator for, ever. That's because what you need to emulate is the BIOS. And what did Nintendo do with the 3DS' BIOS? Right: They encrypted it... As of the ROMs, that's certainly pointless from player perspective, but think about the developers. If all they have was that encrypted BIOS, with no straightforward way to decrypt it (actually, probably even no way to decrypt it at all for now), don't you think progress would be even slower? We can be glad those developers have the ROMs as somewhat of an orientation. 1△

Citra is currently in nightly build and can decently run certain games already (you can even specifically choose a "decrypted for citra" on this site)... And also, those ROMs are mostly for people using homebrew or other similar software with their 3DS. 1△

Hey dumbass if you don't want to wait just buy a 3DS/2DS and a SKY3DS+ which will cost you around €250. Convert that to you're currency. the roms and put them on an SD card and put it in the SKY3DS. And do you're research.
