OPE 101- Blurb Example I found my ion for Residence Life during my tenure as a Resident Assistant at Capital University in Columbus, Ohio. The idea of building and cultivating a community was an ideal match for my personality and talents, which then led me to pursue a master’s degree in student affairs. Currently, I am the Graduate Assistant for Community Standards and Student Conduct at Wright State University and serve as a liaison to Residence Life and Housing. This position has taught me how to a community through adjudication of incidents of alleged misconduct in the residential communities, provide development opportunities to Resident Assistants and Community Directors on proper incident and crisis management techniques and reporting structures. During my graduate career, I have held various internships that have allowed me to grow in: crisis management and response, international student affairs, diversity education, and the assessment of programs. I am enthusiastically seeking a Residence Life position. Available June 2017. Geographically flexible.
