Introduction

This document describes the manner in which to install and use the Local Loading Tool (LLT). This tool allows the to applications in the terminals with TELIUM ™ technology. In the continuation of this document, the following designations: « terminals with TELIUM ™ technology » will be replaced indifferently by: the word « terminal » or the abbreviation « EFT ». To install and use the LLT software follow the different steps described below: • Software installation • Connection Configuration with terminal according to the used Windows ® platform. • Use of the LLT Functions.

Environment

LLT software runs under Microsoft ® Windows ® platform: • Windows ® 95 • Windows ® 98 • Windows ® NT4 Service Pack 3 Minimum • Windows ® 2000 Professional Service Pack 2 Minimum. • Windows ® XP In order for the software to run the computer where the software is installed must have a CD-ROM drive and a serial or USB port. For an USB connection, It is mandatory to use a Microsoft ® Windows ® 2000 Professional platform or Windows ® XP platform.

Software installation

You must have istrative privileges to install and to uninstall this program. This includes having istrative privileges the first time you start your computer after installing or uninstalling. LLT use port IP 6000 for data exchange. The use of this port must not be forbidden by the network istration (Firewall, Virtual Private Network (VPN)) or must not be used by another application. Before installing the LLT application, make sure that all applications are closed. Then, insert the CD-ROM containing the LLT software and follow instructions of the LLT setup. If your PC doesn't run the setup automatically, click "Start" button from the task bar, choose "Run ...", then "Browse ..." CD drive and select "LLT_setup.exe". Launch setup after clicking on the "Open" and "OK" Button. Once you have completed the setup procedure, you can launch the tool by double-clicking on the LLT icon or from Start button, choose Programs -> TELIUM Tools -> LLT -> LLT Vxx.

From task bar click Start and choose Programs -> TELIUM Tools -> LLT -> Uninstall LLT Vxx.

5.

Use of the LLT Functions

LLT allows ing software components or parameter files in the terminal during a ing activity. It also may allow ing diagnostic file during a diagnostic or maintenance activity.

5.1 Software component ing • • • • •

Select the ing activity in the LLT menu. Activity ing Connect to the terminal (see Connecting to the terminal) Move in the LLT explorer in order to select the catalog files corresponding to the components to be ed (see File selection). the component(s) in the SWAP directory of the terminal (see File transfer). Disconnect (see Disconnecting from the terminal).The valid components are transferred in the SYSTEM directory in order to be used.

5.2 Parameter files ing You can a parameter file usable by an application in the HOST directory of the terminal. Note: the application using this parameter file will have to delete it after using. • • • • • •

Move in the LLT explorer in order to select the files to be ed (see File selection). the component(s) in the HOST directory of the terminal (see File transfer). 5.3 Knowing the present component list in the terminal • • •

5.5 Connecting to the terminal Before the first connection, • Check Connection Configuration with terminal in function of platform Microsoft ® Windows ® used. • make sure the serial port cable or the USB cable is correctly connected to the PC and terminal. • Check Terminal is ready to be connected with LLT. The terminal must display « LLT ». Different ways of connecting: With mouse: by clicking on the icon Via the menu: "Terminal " | "connection" With keyboard: F4 key

5.6 Disconnecting from the terminal The terminal will only activate transferred files once LLT is disconnected from the terminal. Different ways of disconnecting: With mouse: by clicking on the icon Via the menu: "Terminal "|"disconnection" With keyboard: CTRL + F4 keys

File selection

The selection of .Mxx (Mxx corresponding to the catalog file extension ) allows the to view only catalog files of the selection. In such mode, if a catalog file transfer is carried out, all files present in that file will be transferred, excepted the catalog files (*.Mxx extension). Selecting *.* in the list associated to the file list, allows the to view all files and sub directories from the current directory. In this mode all selected files will be transferred. 5.7.1.1 Selecting a file with mouse : clicking on the file with keyboard : Navigating with Up and Down keys once view is selected (see Selecting a LLT view) 5.7.1.2 Selecting a group of contiguous files with mouse : selection is made in the same way as Windows Explorer with keyboard : selection is made in the same way as Windows Explorer 5.7.1.3 Selecting a group of non contiguous files with mouse : selection is made in the same way as Windows Explorer. with keyboard : not ed.

File transfer

Once connection has been established. (See Connecting to the terminal) and once files have been selected (see File selection). Via the menu "Terminal"|"file ing" or "Terminal"|" file ing" With mouse: drag and drop in the corresponding window or by clicking up on the corresponding icons or . With keyboard: F2 ou CTRL + F2 keys By default the remote ing activity is selected. Maintenance and diagnostics activities are also possible from LLT by selecting the menu

"Activity".

5.7.3

Copy File List

Direct access to a directory of the computer

Select the directory in the list of the favourite directories.

To add a path in the list select a directory in the tree view then Drag and drop the directory name from the tree view up to favourite directories list. Or use SHIFT + Ins keys Or use the popup menu (with the right button of the mouse).

To delete a path in the list, select the directory name in the tree view then Use SHIFT + DEL keys Or use the popup menu (with the right button of the mouse).

5.8.2

Selecting a LLT view

From PC View use RIGHT ARROW key to go to Terminal view or click on the Terminal view. From Terminal View use LEFT ARROW key to go to PC view or click on the PC view.

5.8.3

Direct view of a text file or a catalog file contents

A double click on the file itself or press Return key after selecting the file displays in a window the file contents in text mode.

5.8.4

Component signature consultation

Select *.* in the list then Double click on the SGN corresponding to a signed component to consult.

Creating a family

This function allows the to create a catalog file list to . This function is only accessible after selecting the *.Mxx (Mxx corresponding to the catalog file extension ) in the list associated to the file list.

Selecting the catalog files to include then use the menu or F8 key to create a new catalog file grouping several catalog files for a same terminal stored in the same directory.

LLT Setting

6.2 File LLT.PRM It allows the to define product code list defined for EFT and the associated terminal description. This product code corresponds to catalog files extension. Syntax: Mxy: product description Example:

M30: EFT30 Stationary

6.3 File LLT.LNG It contains the list of messages to be displayed by LLT. These messages are written in 2 different languages: the local language (French by default ) and English.

6.4 File LLT.BMK It contains the list of the favourite directories that the can access in one click from LLT. The can write the directories to be accessed easily in it.

6.5 Changing LLT language At first start up, LLT screens are displayed in English.

’s guide The language may be modified via the Menu "Language" or function keys CTRL + E or CTRL + L. At next start up, LLT screens will be displayed in the last selected language.

6.6 Defining a new translation language A language file (file with extension .lng) is used to translate the different screens, menus, and messages of the tool. By default this file contains 2 languages (English and French). Nevertheless, any language can be used. To use the local language, replace in the language file the French translation by the local translation.

Connection Configuration with terminal

Connection configuration is different following the Microsoft ® Windows ® platform used.

8.1 With Windows 95/98 8.1.1

Installing Dial-Up Networking

LLT uses Dial-Up Networking (DUN) to run. Check if DUN is already installed in selecting Control → Add/Remove Programs → Windows Installation → Communications. Option Dial-Up Networking must be checked. If not, add it by clicking check box and by clicking "OK". Then insert Windows 95/98 CD-Rom to install missing components.

LLT also needs Windows 95/98 network components. In the same way network needs one or several network adapters and their drivers. Windows 95/98 network state can be seen in selecting Control → Network → Configuration.

’s guide The necessary components for LLT are: • Client for Microsoft Networks • Dial-Up Adapter • T/IP

If Dial-Up Adapter is missing, must click Add… → Adapter. Dial-Up Adapter is displayed under Microsoft Manufacturers list. Select it and click OK to install it. Each network adapter under Windows 95/98 must be linked to one or several network protocols. LLT needs T/IP protocol. If T/IP is not installed, click Add… → Protocol.

T/IP is displayed under Microsoft Manufacturers list. Select it and click OK to install it.

After installation the new protocol is displayed in the main window of the network configuration.

Dial-Up Adapter Configuration

Consult "Properties" of Dial-Up Adapter. Parameters are the following: Tab Driver Type choose Enhanced mode(32 bit and 16 bit) NDIS driver. Tab Bindings This list give gives the available network protocols for Dial-Up Adapter. At least the checked box T/IP would be checked.

Open Dial-Up Networking from Programs → Accessories → Dial-Up Networking (with Windows 95) or Programs → Accessories → Communications → Dial-Up Networking (with Windows 98)

Now, the connection "LLT Connection" is displayed in Dial-Up Networking window.

8.1.4

Connection with serial interface

To be connected to a terminal a serial cable must be used. Configure the computer by selecting a null modem driver and select the serial port that will be used with such connection. 8.1.4.1 Installing the null modem driver Once the Dial-Up Adatper is present (see Installing Dial-Up Networking), you can directly configure the serial interface via the menu. Connection | Serial interface properties … of LLT. Screen Modems Properties is displayed if at least one modem or a serial port is already used on the PC, it appears in the modem list:

Click "Add" button to install a new null modem driver in the list. Otherwise the screen below appears directly,

Check the option "Don't detect my modem; I will select it from a list " and then click "Next" button to select the null modem driver from a list.

Click "Have Disk…" then Browse… to choose the nullmodem sagem.inf file located under "drivers" directory of LLT application.

Network and remote access service (RAS) Installation

LLT needs network services of Windows NT4.0 Workstation to be installed. Check that remote access service is installed by Start → Settings → Control → Network → Services or by selecting Connection | Network properties … from LLT menu. Check that remote access service appears in the services list (see Checking Remote Access Service). If the remote access service does not exist, install it (see Network installation). 8.2.1.1

Once the RAS is present (see Remote Access Service installation), you can directly configure the serial interface via the menu Connection | Serial interface properties … of LLT. Screen Modems Properties is displayed if at least one modem or a serial port is already used on the PC; it appears in the modem list:

Introduction

Ce document décrit comment installer et utiliser l'outil de chargement local (LLT). Cet outil permet de charger des applications dans les terminaux de technologie TELIUM ™. Dans la suite de ce document, les désignations suivantes : « terminal de technologie TELIUM ™ » seront remplacées indifféremment par: le terme « terminal » ou l'abréviation « EFT ». Pour installer et utiliser le LLT suivre les différentes étapes décrites cidessous : • Installation du logiciel • Configuration de la Connexion avec le terminal en fonction de la plateforme Windows ® utilisée. • Puis voir Utilisation des fonctions du LLT.

10. Environnement Le logiciel LLT est une application fonctionnant sous plate-forme Microsoft ® Windows ® : • Windows ® 95 • Windows ® 98 • Windows ® NT4 Service Pack 3 Minimum • Windows ® 2000 Professionnel Service Pack 2 Minimum. • Windows ® XP L'ordinateur sous lequel est installé le logiciel doit avoir un lecteur de CD-ROM et un port série ou USB. Pour une connexion USB, il est obligatoire d’utiliser une plate-forme Microsoft ® Windows ® 2000 Professionnel ou Windows ® XP.

11. Installation du logiciel Vous devez avoir les privilèges d'istrateur pour installer et désinstaller ce programme. Ceci inclus d'avoir ces privilèges la première fois que vous démarrer l'ordinateur après installation et désinstallation. Le LLT utilise le port IP 6000 pour l’échange de données. L’utilisation ce port ne doit pas être interdit par l’istration du réseau (Parefeu, utilisation d’un réseau privé virtuel (VPN)) ou ne doit pas être utilisé par une autre application. Avant d'installer le logiciel, assurer vous que toutes les autres applications sont fermées. Puis, insérer le CD-ROM contenant le logiciel LLT dans le lecteur de CD et suivre les instructions du programme d'installation. Si le programme d'installation ne se lance pas automatiquement, utiliser le bouton "Démarrer" de la barre des taches, choisir "Exécuter", puis "Parcourir…" pour chercher le lecteur de CD et sélectionner "LLT_setup.exe" puis cliquer sur "Ouvrir". Enfin cliquer sur "OK" pour lancer l'installation. Une fois la procédure d'installation effectuée, vous pouvez lancer l'outil en double cliquant sur l'icône LLT ou à partir du bouton "Démarrer" choisir Programmes -> TELIUM Tools -> LLT -> LLT Vxx.

12. Désinstallation du logiciel Depuis la barre des tâches cliquer sur Démarrer et choisir Programmes -> TELIUM Tools -> LLT -> Uninstall LLT Vxx.

13. Utilisation des fonctions du LLT Le LLT permet de charger des composants logiciels ou des fichiers de paramètres dans le terminal lors d’une activité de téléchargement. Il peut également permettre de récupérer des fichiers de diagnostics lors d’une activité de diagnostics ou de maintenance.

13.1 Chargement de composant logiciel • • • • •

Sélectionner L’activité téléchargement dans le menu Activité Téléchargement Se connecter au terminal (voir Connexion au terminal) Se déplacer dans l’explorateur du LLT afin de sélectionner le ou les fichiers catalogues correspondant aux composants à charger (voir Sélection de fichier). Charger le(s) composant(s) dans le disque SWAP du terminal (voir Transfert de fichier). Se déconnecter (voir Déconnexion du terminal). Les composants valides sont transférés dans le disque SYSTEM du terminal afin d’être utilisés.

13.2 Chargement de fichiers de paramètres Il est possible de charger un fichier de paramètre utilisable par une application dans le disque HOST du terminal. Nota: L’application qui utilise ce fichier devra le détruire après utilisation. • • • • • •

Sélectionner L’activité téléchargement dans le menu Activité Téléchargement Se connecter au terminal (voir Connexion au terminal) Accéder au disque HOST du terminal en cliquant sur l’icône ou à l’aide des touches CTRL+B Se déplacer dans l’explorateur du LLT afin de sélectionner le ou les fichiers à charger (voir Sélection de fichier). Charger le composant dans le disque HOST du terminal (voir Transfert de fichier). Se déconnecter (voir Déconnexion du terminal).

13.3 Connaître la liste des composants présents dans le terminal • • •

Sélectionner L’activité téléchargement dans le menu Activité Téléchargement Se connecter au terminal (voir Connexion au terminal) Double-cliquer sur le fichier RUNNING.LST ou utiliser le menu "Terminal" | "liste des composants" ou touches CTRL + F pour afficher la liste des composants.

13.4 Récupération de fichiers de diagnostics • • • • •

Sélectionner L’activité diagnostic dans le menu Activité Diagnostic Se connecter au terminal (voir Connexion au terminal) Sélectionner le ou les fichiers diagnostics (.DIA) à récupérer dans la vue du terminal (voir Sélection de fichier). Transférer le(s) fichier(s) sur le PC (voir Transfert de fichier) ou doublecliquer sur le fichier pour voir son contenu. Se déconnecter (voir Déconnexion du terminal)..

13.5 Connexion au terminal Avant la première connexion, • Vérifier la Configuration de la Connexion avec le terminal en fonction de la plate-forme Microsoft ® Windows ® utilisée. •

Vérifier que le câble liaison série ou le câble USB est correctement branché entre le terminal et le LLT.

Vérifier que le terminal est prêt à être connecté avec le LLT . Le Terminal doit afficher « LLT ».

13.7 Sélection et Transfert de fichier 13.7.1

Sélection de fichier

La sélection de *.Mxx (Mxx correspondant à l'extension du fichier catalogue) permet de voir uniquement les fichiers catalogues de la sélection. Dans ce mode si un transfert du fichier catalogue est effectué, tous les fichiers contenus dans le ou les fichiers catalogues sélectionnés seront transférés, à l'exception des fichiers catalogues (extension *.Mxx). La sélection de *.* dans la liste associée à la liste de fichiers, permet de voir tous les fichiers et sous-répertoires du répertoire courant. Dans ce mode tous les fichiers sélectionnés seront transférés.

13.7.1.1 Sélection d'un fichier avec la souris: cliquer sur le fichier avec le clavier: Déplacement avec FLECHE HAUT ou FLECHE BAS une fois la vue sélectionnée (voir Sélection d'une vue du LLT) 13.7.1.2 Sélection d'un groupe de fichiers contigus avec la souris: cliquer sur le fichier, cliquer sur le dernier avec touches SHIFT appuyée. avec le clavier: déplacement sur le premier fichier avec FLECHE HAUT ou FLECHE BAS , déplacement sur l'avant dernier fichier avec FLECHE HAUT ou FLECHE BAS et touche CTRL appuyée, déplacement vers le dernier fichier à sélectionner avec FLECHE HAUT ou FLECHE BAS et touche MAJ appuyée. 13.7.1.3 Sélection d'un groupe de fichiers non contigus avec la souris: cliquer sur le fichier, cliquer sur le ou les fichiers suivants avec touches CTRL appuyée. avec le clavier: impossible.

Accès direct à un répertoire de l'ordinateur

Sélectionner le répertoire dans la liste des répertoires préférés.

Pour ajouter un chemin dans la liste, sélectionner un répertoire dans la vue arborescente puis glisser et déposer le répertoire dans la liste « répertoires préférés» Ou utiliser les touches MAJ + Inser. Ou utiliser le menu contextuel (avec le bouton droit de la souris).

16. Configuration de la Connexion avec le terminal La configuration de la connexion est différente suivant la plate-forme Microsoft ® Windows ® utilisée.

16.1 Avec Windows 95/98 16.1.1

Installation de l'accès réseau à distance

Pour fonctionner le LLT a besoin de l'accès réseau à distance de Windows (DialUp Networking). Vérifier si celui-ci est installé en choisissant Panneau de configuration → Ajout/Suppression de programmes → Installation de Windows → Communications. L'option Accès réseau à distance doit être cochée. Si non, l'ajouter en cliquant sur la case à cocher et en confirmant par "OK". Windows 95/98 demande ensuite d'insérer son CD-Rom et installe les éléments manquants.

Le LLT a aussi besoin des composants réseau de Windows 95/98. A son tour le réseau a besoin d'un ou plusieurs adaptateurs réseau et de leurs pilotes. L'état

Pour se connecter au terminal un câble USB peut être utilisé si la configuration logicielle du terminal le permet. 16.3.2.1 Installation du driver USB EFT30 • Mettre le terminal en mode LLT (le terminal doit afficher « LLT »). • Connecter le câble USB entre le terminal (USB Slave) et le PC (USB Host). Lors de la connexion du terminal avec le câble USB, Windows 2000 détecte le nouveau périphérique.

Pour se connecter au terminal il faut utiliser un câble série. Pour cela configurer l'ordinateur en sélectionnant un driver null modem et déterminer le port série qui sera utilisé avec cette connexion. 16.4.1.1 Installation du driver null modem Configurer l'interface série par le menu Connexion | Propriétés interface série … du LLT.
