Your Analysis 1. Did your observation match the information given by the teacher? Were you able to correctly identify who among the students performed well and who did not? What behavior helped you identify them? (Volunteering to answer responding to teacher’s directions, etc.) Yes, my observation matched the information given by the teacher and I was able to correctly identify the students who performed well from those that are inactive in the class discussion. I was able to identify them because they always respond to what the teacher is saying and participates well in class.
2. Describe the differences in ability levels of the students in the class. Is there a wide gap between the students who are performing well and those that are not? Based on my observation, there is a wide gap between the students who are performing well and those that are not. Those who perform well in class has the ability to easily understand the lesson during the discussion while those who are low performing pupils tend to ask their seatmate or the teacher for them to understand the lesson. As a result, they got low scores in their quizzes.
3. Describe the methods used by the teacher in handling the students’ differences in abilities. How did the students respond to the teacher?
