Performance profiling is an essential aspect of the sporting activity. One of the sporting activities is football. Football is a competitive sport that entails playing between two teams of male players; besides, the sport involves playing between two teams of female players. At the college level, football is played between university students’ teams. On the other hand, the National Collegiate Athlete Association (NCAA) regulates the football sports activities at the University level. The Division I college teams have talents that result in high competition. Therefore, an athlete participating in tennis needs some array of technical as well as tactical ability; moreover, such sports performers should be aware of the implication of factors that affects their performance needed to facilitate favorable competition and improvement. While some performance factors are basic and applicable in all sports, others are specific to one or a few sports. This paper will present the describe the performance profile of football sport. Moreover, the paper will evaluate the factors that may influence the performance of an athlete. Performance profiling is an essential aspect of the sporting activity. One of the sporting activities is football. Football is a competitive sport that entails playing between two teams of male players; besides, the sport involves playing between two teams of female players. In football sport, there are different forms of tactics which are important to the performer. Firstly, dribbling is the basic tactical demand in football for a player straight from the beginner to a well-known professional football performer. The dribbling technique is regarded as a natural and powerful tactic in football. It functions in a unique way. For instance, if you a performer uses left leg to play football, and their opponent uses right leg to play football directly towards them, their tendency pertains stepping to their left and hit the ball from the right side of their body (Sharkey & Gaskill, 2006). On the other hand, if a

performer uses right leg to play, and the opponent hits the ball directly towards their position, they are supposed to step to their right side and hit the ball using their legs from their right side of their body. Secondly, there is shooting tactic. Secondly, shooting tactic is important since it is executed when a player needs to score. To shoot, a player needs to approach the ball and kick it in the direction of the goal. However, the body must be in a position to maintain accuracy. While striking the ball with either of the legs, the player needs to lean back for a powerful shot or get their body over the specific ball. Thirdly, control is another tactical demand in the football. Getting the ball under control maintains the possession and hence added advantage over the opponent (Sharkey & Gaskill, 2006). When a ball is ed to a player, and it comes overhead, the player may control the ball through the chest as they lean back to allow the ball land on their chest. As the ball hits the chest, it will fall, and at this point, the player will touch the ball though the legs to take control of the ball. Once the ball is in control, the performer will conveniently , shoot or dribble the ball towards the opponent team’s goal area. The accurate ing of the ball maintains the possession and creates chances to advance toward the opponent’s goal area. On the other hand, the heading may be used as a means of scoring, ing as well as winning back possession (Howley& Franks, 2003). The performer who does goalkeeping is regarded as the goalkeeper. Two teams that play against each other have one goalkeeper in each of their goal posts. Goalkeeper defends the ball from ing the goal line through catching, kicking and heading the ball. An ideal goalkeeping is attained through the executing the best stance, the most appropriate grip as well as the perfect ball catch. While goalkeeping, a goalkeeper can execute body movements such as body coiling and knee bending for appropriate power control when making the getting ready to catch the ball during a penalty shootout or a just a normal shot from the opponent. On the other hand, there is header tactical demand that is a shot where the ball is hit in the air. However, it is hit when the performer is getting control of the ball overhead. The last tactical demand is the aerial ball which is a shot hit on above opponent’s head and reduces the pressure on the ground from the opponent. To generate power to the aerial ball while changing wing, it is recommended that a player hits the ball before it bounces on the ground (Stafford-Brown, Rea, and Manley, 2010). Some of the technical demands are important in football. Firstly, the basic athletic ability is important since the game involves massive physical activities. It requires speed, endurance, agility and flexibility (Sharkey & Gaskill, 2006). The speed is essential since it aids a performer to run for the ball as fast as possible. Agility is significant in anticipating the opponent(Hughes, and Franks, 2008). The tendons and muscles need to be flexible for maximum power that will enable the performer to shoot the ball that appears to be unreachable. Also, leg-eye- coordination is important as it leads to quick moves and reactions while in the game. Some of the professional football players are known for perfect dribbling tactics, accurate es, and powerful shots. This helps them scores at least one goal in most of the matches he takes part (Sharkey & Gaskill, 2006). Using various choices of tactics, for instance, in football: dribbling and ing are applied in attacking shot, pushing the opponent back and maintaining the ball in possession. Secondly, a defensive shot is applied in hitting ball high as well as hitting the ball away from the opponent. This move will affect their concentration and rhythm. While applying dribbling, positioning and shooting in football, a player uses both sides of their foot, change direction fast. However, positioning is another tactic in football that aids a player be in the right place at the most appropriate time. The player must stay compact to avoid shots. Also, their bodies must be in a position; they must employ covering or covering. A football player must create space, especially when in possession; however, they should press and reduce space when running out of possession. In conclusion, Performance profiling is an important tool in sporting activity. It can be applied in football. Football is a competitive sport that entails playing between two teams of male players.
