Basic model The pump housing and the one-, two- and three-vane impellers can solids of diameters of up to 100 mm.

For permanent installation, a system with guide bar and discharge connection fixed to the bottom of the sump or pump well is used. When the pump is lowered down the guide bars it automatically connects up to the discharge line via the discharge connection.

This system with guide bar and discharge connection permits automatic connection of the pump to the discharge line. The pump can be removed for inspection without anyone having to enter the sump.

The pump, which is designed for discharge hose connection alone, can be used for a variety of duties.

A flexible system consisting of discharge connection with guide bar combined with a jet nozzle for mixing. For simpler handling, the guide bar is provided with a lifting davit. The jet nozzle is also designed as a hose connection (nominal diameter 100 mm).

CT

The pump is installed dry on a concrete base and is connected directly to the inlet and outlet lines. The submersible design of the pump prevents damage to the electric motor should the dry well or pump room be flooded.

Lift model The pump housing contains a two-vane impeller combined with a diff with three guide vanes and is connected (nominal diameter 500 mm) on the suction side. The diff slows up the rotation of the water and directs it outwards and upwards.

LL

A portable

pump intended for operating completely or partially submerged in the pumped liquid. It is equipped with base stand and discharge hose connection.

The pump is installed in a station which consists of two sections, a lower inlet section and an upper outlet section, divided by an intermediate deck. The pump is placed in a hole in the intermediate deck, whereby the diff rests on a plate against which it is sealed by a rubber ring. The pump is lowered and raised by means of a lifting device. The pump operates merged.

Different versions of the hydraulic section Depending on desired performance, the pump is available for clean water, waste water and sludge in both low-head, medium-head and high-head versions. There is also an HD (heavyduty) version, intended for highly abrasive media. The cutter model for liquids containing long fibres and the lift model for raw water are available in low-head versions.

Both the pump housing bottom and the impeller are made of a special wear-resistant material, rendering wear rings unneccessary.

A built-in coolina svstem allows the 3152 to ooerate continuously at ‘its rated output regardless of whether the electric motor is above or below the surface of the liquid. Some of the pumped liquid is circulated through the cooling jacket which surrounds the motor and dissipates the heat generated by the motor. Where external cooling is required, the cooling jacket can be sealed off from the pump housing and connected instead to an external cooling system. In order to prevent clogging, the cutting model is supplied without a cooling jacket. The lift model, which always operates below the surface of the water, is also supplied without a cooling jacket. 3.

Class F motor insulation Class F means that the maximum operating temperature is 155°C and that a temperature rise of 100°C is permitted. The temperature rise in Flygt motors does not exceed 80°C. This temperature reduction increases the service life of the motor by a factor of nearly 4. Thermal protectors in the stator windings open in the event of temporary overheating. Bearings Upper bearing: Single-row ball bearing. Lower bearing: Two-row angular ball bearing. The bearings are greased and do not have to be regreased until after three years of continuous operation.

Two mechanical face seals operating independently of each other seal off the motor from the pump section. The two seal rings in the lower seal are made of tungsten carbide for long life. The upper seal, which rotates in an oil bath, has a stationary seal ring made of tungsten carbide and a rotating ring made of carbon.

Replaceable wear rings The pump housing bottom and the impeller are equipped with easily replaceable wear rings. However, the HD version of the base model has instead a replaceable lower diff and an impeller made of a special wear-resistant material.

Pump section for cutter model In contrast to the other models, the impeller of this model is of the open type, i.e. it does not have any cover plates. It consists of an S-shaped blade attached to a short hub. In order to prevent long fibres from jamming and instead deliver them to one of the three cutting edges on the periphery of the pump housing inlet, the blade is extended to a point outside of the pump housing. Three scrapers in the upper part of the pump housing, just above the impeller, prevent long fibres from getting wound up around the open part of the impeller hub.
